I think this applies not only to art, but to most things. Product, service, art, even food. If a dish is marketed very well and also gets praise from 2 friends, it will taste better for you than before. Everything is marketing.

I completely agree with you.  As humans, we are deeply influenced by our peers and have a strong desire to be included. Most people will go to extraordinary lengths to be accepted and avoid exclusion. Consequently, we often conform to popular opinion rather than thinking for ourselves.

Yes, I agree, both unfortunately and fortunately. Although I don't have a scientific analysis, I think these are the things that advance civilization.
