Our mattress is sinking in and destroying our backs. Any recommendations on how to fix? Board under bed? Mattress topper? Combo?

Bad frame. To go directly on the slats like that the boards need to be tied to one another to prevent that.. thuma bed frames are real nice. Box spring might solve the problem short term but with a good frame you shouldn't need one. Burrow for the cheaper than thuma but still good quality

sounds like you've done your homework. been online most of today trying to figure this out and it's exhausting. we're subletting right now and don't really want to spend that much on frame. not to mention this place came furnished and already got a new bed. hmmm wut to do -_-

Not familiar with the boards but in theory seems like it would work you just want to redistribute the weight so it's not all pressing down exactly where your body is. Box spring would probably do the same would Google the difference between the two for the purpose of distributing weight
