Following up on my own cast, but for context: the session was for Women Entrepreneurs Day. It was for networking + VC's reverse pitching their funds to us. One thing I noticed is that I was one of the few WOC in the room (lol of course). It's interesting because there's all these talks and articles online about how women only get 3% of VC funding. But I would like to know is... what kind of women? Because if I'm going off of the demographics in the room... women like me, aka WOC, aren't getting much and/any VC funding at a substantial level because we aren't even in the room to begin with. Love recognizing another huddle to climb /s 🙃

Nice to see that Women Entrepreneurs Day is providing a platform for networking and VC pitching. It's unfortunate to hear that there were only a few WOC in the room. Representation matters and it's important that all voices are heard in the entrepreneurial space.
