Probably unpopular opinion but I have been thinking about BTC for a bit. And while short-term I feel there is tons of reason to be bullish longterm I can't find logic to explain it in an uber networked autonomous swarm world... https://paragraph.xyz/@rm/btc-a-relic-of-the-past

Interesting read as always. Not sure how much I agree with Graeber's ideas regarding currency and the bartering system, but I do agree that blockchains will gradually become irrelevant as agents and other decentralized systems evolve. Technology by nature is ephemeral after all. My question is, if agents and tokens grow beyond human intentions, then what exactly will be their goals and interests become? How will that effect humanity down the road?

I don't know, to be honest I write those things first for myself to capture it, but I am asking myself more or less exactly those questions. My favorite rabbit hole right now is starting from asking myself do I think about the right question. Essentially if the systems are resembling more nature, then I find it fascinating to look at where we deviate from it as humanity. And then look at this difference how much of it might be build on narratives that we have been told and just embody right now but forgot that they are not entirely set. I also feel I simply don't know, thats why I love those captures for myself, does nature have intention? Does autonomy === intention? My hunch is that we, me included are looking at those thoughts often in very crude ways, with a bias to lived experience that is shaped by existing narratives. But then internet although build by us does show cracks in how we have been thinking about it.
