Do you believe that over half the country voted for him because he’s a lunatic? 

I personally did not vote for him because of his rhetoric, I voted for him because of policy.

I mean you're right, that is the reason why people voted for him, I'm just perplexed how readily people are willing to brush all the horrible things he says under the rug.

Been hearing this quite a bit around here, especially how the establishment dems have effectively screwed over the middle class. Sounds like support for Trump is more out of disdain from the status quo than his moral character.

I’ll give you insight into why we can brush it off: Our feeling of overreach from our own government is so bad, his lunacy is a signal he is an outsider to us and gives us confirmation he doesn’t give a shit what the establishment says.
