With all of the hubbub regarding Trump rugging shitcoin holders and the narrative of how crypto has lost its way, it's become apparent to me that evolving technology alone will not save us from ourselves. I get the sense that in order for humanity to use these tools wisely without giving in to vice, we need more than just a new financial layer decentralized from central control; we need a spiritual/moral layer that allows the users of this tech to nurture values of virtue so that their hearts are in the right place. When a society has a healthy moral fiber, it will typically make better decisions. This is something our modern society has severely neglected, and we're now reaping the consequences.

The layer you describe sounds great to me but it seems to me we have the spiritual/moral layer that we have. To change it, all I think we can do is create the culture we want in sub-spaces, and connect between spaces. One key to that, I believe is being able to connect across difference. For all my alignment with what you describe, I expect you and I, like all folks have particular meanings for wise, vice, virtue, healthy ... The work is to connect up with folks with whom we can get on, and in ways that are meaningful enough for the differences to surface, and then keep connecting. As well as connecting as much as possible with other folks, and between communities – IRL and in an ecosystem of DAOs.
