polymarket is a great example of the power of having a unique insight and building towards a non-consensus future

it gave them years to experiment and build a great product in a market with no incumbents and few competitors

and now that it's a consensus good idea they're way ahead of the onslaught of competition in product, brand awareness, integrations, capital, etc and can ride the wave of growing attention on the category
