Hypothesis on the payouts stuff: giving 5 people $100 or 10 people $50 will inspire more interesting content than giving 100 people $5

I would disagree here, would venture to say it’s less about the money and more about the achievement - 100 feels like a sweet spot where it’s attainable for pretty much anyone on the network and the money is a sort of energetic bonus

I’m also not sure on this… I think it’s more the memeable $5 as recognition. I could tip someone ~30K in Degen - worth about 100 USD today, who knows what the price will be on claims day… yet the Degen energy is treading water and certainly not driving cast activity or quality. Also folks would probably rather get the 5 usdc flex from MM then the Degen from a quiet account, so maybe that skews the thought. 2024 $Degen for sharing your hypothesis.

I think it's less about being a meaningful amount of money (even $50 or $100 can't compete with the mature creator funds of other platforms) and more about gamifying it and creating a small token of recognition

A/B test different incentive programs would be fun.

i think here it’s more about being part of that category of creators vs $5. more social signalling than money for creating content.
