1. Farcaster doesnโt have messages yet, but Warpcast does. Merkle team is trying to protocolize DMs this year, so other clients can use them 2. Warpcast DMs are not encrypted. They initially were, but that got rolled back due to technical issues. Team is looking to encrypt them in 2025 soon after protocolization

1. Not sure about Merkleโs plans, or whether DMs will be stored on Hubs. Seems like it would be a privacy issue without encryption, which isnโt launching until later. 2. Not possible before DMs get protocolized. WC has some open APIs, including programmable DMs. But they havenโt opened DMing on behalf of a user.
