1. Farcaster doesn’t have messages yet, but Warpcast does. Merkle team is trying to protocolize DMs this year, so other clients can use them

2. Warpcast DMs are not encrypted. They initially were, but that got rolled back due to technical issues. Team is looking to encrypt them in 2025 soon after protocolization
