fascinating to see an OG farcaster trend, screenshot essays, rapidly emerge on X.

on FC, these initially surfaced due to (imo) a subpar threading experience and limited characters.

on X, these surface due to subpar external link experience despite superior threading experience and unlimited characters.

i discovered screenshot essays on twitter before fc. 

imo, threads were over used at a point where the content has become spammy, repetitive, framing etc - though the experience to read was great - people stopped opening them. 

so folks have started posting quality content in just single image to read and it slowly started to pick up. 

i remember tools being built to share content in a nice screenshot format too.
