fun story: few weeks ago I got fined $10,425 by stripe for doing crypto adjacent stuff with stripe. The first email I got from them said it could be as high as $425,000 so getting only 10k in the end was quite a relief.

This fine isn't legal - they aren't a government department, it's only contractual
