Heard a thing the other day that advocated for more audio/visual mediums over long form writing. While I enjoy a good article, I don’t disagree that the general population probably prefers watching/listening to reading 5000 words. Made me wonder if LLMs will ultimately bring more value to text based mediums vs a/v?

It must be generational. Many companies these days provide documentation and tutorials in video form. These drive me insane. I want the printed word. It’s information-dense, random-access, and wastes as little of my time as possible. If you make me watch a video, I’m leaving.

Soon you will be able to extract the information you are looking for by chatting with a video. To some extend you already are by using the transcript as input to an LLM. Using the visual information on top will make results even better in the future.
