i'm sure it's partly a giant psyop by big toothbrush, but all that millions of bacteria talk worked on me, ngl 😂

It actually makes a lot of sense from a product perspective. A wet toothbrush that has scraped the warm insides of one's mouth is probably heaven for bacteria. On the other hand, I'm skeptical because UV sanitizers in general need perfect line of sight to kill bacteria, and the bristles likely shield most of them from exposure. We had the same issue trialing UV-based disinfecting robots on board of aircraft during COVID — they could only sanitize parts of the cabin that were direct line of sight, and the fabric of seats in particular contains millions of surface irregularities that provide shade to microorganisms
