I wish the airlines would just tokenize air miles and allow for a secondary market on the blockchain. Imagine being able to buy and sell $ONEWORLD tokens or swap them for $SKYTEAM for your next redemption booking

Yes, of course, plus balance sheet implications since miles are a liability. I’m under no illusion that they’ll start doing it after reading my cast 😅 merely expressing a wish. Unless consumer regulations step in!

haha yeah companies have 0 incentive to make loyalty points less sticky. which is why i doubt tokenized vouchers are coming anytime soon

oo thats interesting. something like a collective model? i feel like that only works if the stores dont compete though. might work for small stores with smaller catchment areas. But what if a /blackbird member store suddenly does very well and decides to franchise into other members turf?
