Prediction: Algo-Marketers will soon matter more than Trad Marketers. Just as digital media became more important than legacy media, the practise of SEO and CPM optimization will become a profession on its own. What matters is increasingly catering to the algorithm, not to people's hearts and minds.

For example, TikTok's new algorithm is focusing on community building. In the end, marketers will have to focus on this to get the algorithm working for them. Humans still matter, in a way. So TradMarketers too... ?

That's an interesting twist, would be interesting to see. But it's up to the algo-makers. Somehow I can't imagine Sam Altman prioritizing community building into ChatGPT's web search.
