Few hills I will die on but this is one: - baseball = much better at throwing; as seen by baseball coaches brought in to cricket teams to aid throwing from the boundary - cricket = much better at catching (without a glove) and ball handling "OMG HE BARE HANDED IT". the original cast is true in that regard

Also highly recommend this book - https://amazon.co.uk/Playing-Hard-Ball-Cricket-Baseball/dp/0349116660 Written by an ex-pro cricketer who did spring training with an MLB team. Really good account of the differences between the sports.

Spoiler alert for those that can't be bothered reading it - baseball is a pitchers game. The default is 'you get the guy out'. Best hitters in history hit 1/3 times at the plate (i.e. .300). 9 innings per game, each batter bats multiple times per game.

Cricket is a batters game. Default is 'score a lot of runs and occasionally you get the guy out'. Without getting into the weeds, there are multiple forms of cricket. OK SCREW IT WE ARE GOING INTO THE WEEDS.
