Defender Lisandro Martinez was bought for €57.4 million. Andre Onana was paid €50 million. Matthijs de Ligt moved to Manchester United from Bayern for €50 million including bonuses. Defender Noussair Mazraoui was bought from the Munich club for €20 million. In total, 11 players with experience of playing in the Dutch championship were signed under ten Hag. These include – in addition to those already listed – Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen, Mason Mount, Wout Weghorst and Sofyan Amrabat.
