Hm. It's meant as a way to force out pure farmers, really. Staking + reputation brings the best farcasters who are also the most committed to $DEGEN's long term success (in theory) because they won't cause intentional harm to their locked value (via price manip, dumping, the usual).

Should help stabilize the price, especially around claims, and create upward pressure, albeit slightly.
