Since it’s the topic du jour on the purple app… What’s the right balance between “ship and iterate” and “build something great first”?

I have seen LOTS of corporations do ship and iterate, but the product they put out isn't good enough and it kills their product future because burns trust with a large number of customers. See a LOT of this in AI space. If you ship early and it's not good enough - people simply move on. There IS a cost to the customer.

So from what I've seen from decades of watching companies do stupid things is that it really matters what the customer expectation is, how badly do they need to solve that pain TODAY, where in the market cycle you are, and what you're trying to accomplish with the product you create.
