instead of a story time i want to do a AMA in january i had a serious quad injury and in june i became british triple jump champion for the 11th time! i believe that my comeback was due to these five things: 1. research 2. diet 3. sports psychology/ mental preparation 4. intensive rehab 5. rest and recovery ask me anything!

Did you have therapy after your injury? Because that must have got you in a weird mindset as an athlete.

yeah i had weekly therapy with a sports psychologist it really helped me especially as i had to deal with all my friends going to the olympics and the olympics being everywhere one of the best things he told me was to think of the olympics like the cinema/movies, the movies are great and if youre friends all go to the movies without you yeah you might feel sad, but there is always another film to watch and you can go with them to the next one ahahah it sounds weird but it really helped me seeing the olympics as “smaller” and more mundane helped me to cope with the feeling of almost grief of not being there
