shout out to the nigerians on base and farcaster 🇳🇬 my grandparents on my dad’s side were nigerian and came to the UK as students in the 60s although i have never been to nigeria i made sure to wear a traditional attire for part of my wedding day although those grandparents are no longer with me i still feel so connected to them and hope to visit nigeria one day!!!

Haha “Ọ kú iṣẹ, ọmọ dáadá ni ẹ” is something Yoruba elders say to express pride in someone for a job well done. It translates to “Well done, you are a good child,” acknowledging their effort and character in a proud and appreciative manner.
