my mother in law just sent me this pic from a year ago today i had a major quad injury and had surgery to repair it. then, 10 days later, my husband (he's an athlete too) got a major achilles injury, and this photo was taken after his surgery. so there we were, both unable to walk, hobbling around on crutches for months. it was one of those moments where you either laugh or cry because it was just ridiculous. we decided right then to make serious changes, prioritizing our health and recovery and moved away from living next to the national training centre i'm so happy we've both recovered, we've learned so much from those tough times and have such a better approach to sport and life now!!

i know!! did it for 2 years there was nothing else to do but train pros and cons but happier with the balance now and being able to see my nieces and nephews grow upđ
