That would be my marathon PR in 2008 where I ran a sub-4 marathon and qualified for the 4-hour corral the next year. For any race if youโre a faster runner, you spend the first miles weaving in and out of other runners before you can finally get into a rhythm. It took 6 miles for me to finally stop weaving. The following year I ran 3:59 and LOVED running with the sub-4 corral runners. Very little weaving as we were all 8+ minute/mile pace or better. Qualifying for a corral where they let you start the race before the hordes of other runners, was a freeing and exhilarating experience. Itโs not Boston qualifying, but it was almost as good! โบ๏ธ๐๐พ๐ซถ๐ฝ https://www.marathonguide.com/results/search.cfm

Same! I was in the best shape of my life at 38-40 and was happy to have peaked at a later age. Now, the focus is on my wife and two kids and all their activitiesโฆbut the kids are into swimming and karate. Maybe one day theyโll want to run a 10-miler with dad. ๐ 700 $WILD ๐x100 $DEGEN
