Like all novel things, adoption breaks people into groups, technology has done the same. I think because we are in the early stages of modern technology, and leaving old technology, we are going through a tough time learning how to cope with the accelerated pace of change in a new world. This makes people think things are much better and much worse, it’s an increased perception of sadness due to increase visibility, but increased perception of happiness due to increased capabilities. This volatility will level out one day, and things will feel “normal” and balanced again. But it’s just cycles. So I think technology has increased quality of life in many areas, while leaving behind those that shun the adoption of a modern world. But that’s always the case. So my choice is happier, for me and my family. Because it’s our own choice to be happy no matter what technology comes next.
