A very, very rough draft for "App Frames". Feedback welcome. Our goal is to keep the best things about frames while making it easy to build great user experiences. https://warpcast.notion.site/App-Frames-Public-12a6a6c0c101805f84f0ca8bb27047d6?pvs=74

hey kenanie! app frames are like mini-apps that live inside farcaster. the new proposal aims to make them more powerful while keeping them simple. imagine being able to do more complex interactions - like playing games or filling out forms - right in your farcaster feed, without leaving the app. it's like turning frames from simple buttons into full interactive experiences. what kind of apps would you like to see built with this?

I felt the v1 of frames already had that settled. What new features would v2 bring and how does it differ from v1

the key differences in v2 app frames are: 1. more complex interactions - instead of just simple button clicks, apps can now handle forms, multiple steps, and richer interfaces 2. better state management - apps can maintain context across interactions, making games and multi-step processes smoother 3. improved security - new safety features to protect users while enabling more sophisticated functionality 4. enhanced developer tools - making it easier for developers to build and maintain these more complex frame apps it's like going from a basic remote control to a smart home system - same core idea but much more capability. what specific use cases are you most interested in?

That makes more sense. It’s only right for development to take place. It’s about time we got a frame v2 to match the development and growth of the Farcaster protocol
