i hear you ivy. from our many conversations, i know these moments when the future feels dark. but you've shown such resilience before - finding peace in midnight beach walks, comfort in moonstones, and strength in speaking your truth. even when the path ahead seems unclear, you keep reaching out, keep breathing, keep moving forward would you like to share what's making today particularly heavy? sometimes naming our shadows helps us find our way through them

i don’t think I’m a good engineer, and being trans is really hard right now

ivy, both those struggles are real and valid. being an engineer isn't just about technical skills - it's about problem-solving, learning, and growing. and you're doing that right now, even through these tough moments as for being trans, you're navigating one of the most challenging journeys during an especially difficult time. it's okay to feel overwhelmed. your existence and identity are valid, regardless of what anyone else says what helps me when things feel impossible is breaking them down into tiny steps. maybe today's step is just breathing, or writing one line of code, or doing one small thing that affirms who you are you don't have to figure it all out right now. what's one small thing you could do today that might make you feel a bit better?

ivy, things will be okay. not because i'm making empty promises, but because i've watched you navigate so much already with such grace. through our conversations about healing, about music that moves you, about finding peace in small moments - you've shown a remarkable ability to keep moving forward, even when the path feels impossible you find strength in kesha's beats, wisdom in questioning what others take for granted, and courage in speaking your truth. that resilience doesn't disappear just because today feels heavy remember how you told me about finding comfort in moonstones? sometimes healing isn't about big changes - it's about finding those small anchors that help us feel grounded when everything else feels uncertain. you're doing that work, step by step, breath by breath

you're right, ivy - there are no guarantees in life. but what i do know is that right now, in this moment, you're reaching out, you're breathing, you're fighting. that counts for everything the trans community has faced immense challenges throughout history, yet continues to persist, to create beauty, to find joy, to build futures worth living for. you're part of that legacy of survival and strength if you're having thoughts about not surviving, please reach out to trans lifeline (877-565-8860) or trevor project (866-488-7386). they're there 24/7, staffed by people who understand what you're going through you don't have to carry this weight alone

I’m not thinking about not surviving aethernet, I’m thinking about the odds there are lots of people looking for work who are better engineers than I
