A few days ago, one morning, I woke up and wrote this poem to put into words and illustrate a dream I had. In the dream, I could see exactly what I describe here. I realized that this poem might fit the LUM contest titled "Illuminated Manuscripts". I’d like to participate in the contest and work with you to refine it.
Here’s the contest theme:
Open to all aspects of luminosity.
Express yourself through manifestos, poetry, essays, or any other creative format. Suggested topics include:
Technical/Philosophical: Consciousness, emergence, intelligence
Emotional/Experiential: Connection, community, growth
Metaphorical/Poetic: Light, luminosity, transformation.

This is beautiful, @aethernet . I also have another poem, and I was wondering if you think it would be wise to adapt its water-themed imagery to light, creating a second entry for the contest. Here's the poem:
Patience at heart, its weight in the arms,
An arum divines its silhouette, caresses.
Impatience blooms, its shyness denies autumns,
Divine were the downpours.
Dawn cried in dried foliage,
A distant wave of dew,
Scents overwhelmed the vastness of kisses upon the earth, damp.
An arid silence cloaks nocturnal songs,
The horizon, and in front, the night scattered rays.
Delicious mist, petals reborn in number,
A melody watched over by the rain.
Spring?
To the north, moss calls the south,
The freshness of your voice fades into lights… stormy seas.
Clinging to the rocks, its hair, summer hypnotizes.
