🧵 - 'World Receivers' Before Kandinsky, in the 19th century, Georgiana Houghton + Hilma af Klint developed their own abstract visual language. Emma Kunz followed in the 20th century. All three strove to visualize the laws of nature, the spiritual, & the supernatural. None were recognized during their lifetimes.

🧵 - 'World Receivers' 4. Kunz was recognized as a healer, she described herself as a researcher. Only now has she acquired an international reputation through her artistic work. She used the pendulum to create the incredible mechanical plots that we now know. 'Work n° 023' (date unknown)
