this is probably radioactive, but how about dislikes? twitter has ratios. deltas aren't that immutable, but what about votes? seems like too much friction to use trad platform for niche social interactions e.g. grants/bounties/lazy search

seems like youtube/reddit disposed of them for developmental reasons, but the community seems to consider the absence an indication of illegitimacy (and ratios exist as a workaround). one of those weird paradoxes where the platform wants the more appealing vibe but actually thrived in adversarialism beforehand.
