Why do some social media clients waste so much screen space? I get layout and design but I don't see the added value in this case. Besides that I'm happy how my own client is progressing. I prefer some choices over those made in other clients. (There's enough to criticize still, although in some cases Qt forces my hand.) Below is a Bluesky timeline, left in my Multipos client and right in the official Bluesky client.

Warpcast does this as well but at least the whitespace is used to indicate a reply.
