my mum, speaking to me, "yes, I invested it bitcoin, is that what it's called" turns out, she had not actually invested in bitcoin, she had just deposited to coinbase, and thought the volatility of the USD / GBP exchange rate was indication she really had invested don't worry gang, I will guide her from tradfi forex speculation to digital asset investment and no, she is not your exit liquidity

I once told my friend to just use coinbase to invest in crypto (obv meaning to buy btc, eth, sol from there ) and she bought coinbase stock. Which honestly is still a good proxy for investing in crypto and she’s doing alright !

I did think my mum had done this initially when she said she had “bought Coinbase” Turns out she just deposited but yeah it’s a very good proxy, and a bit more understandable from a financial perspective too. It also used to be hugely undervalued from a P/E perspective a few years ago
