Who else pre-ordered @cdixon.eth β€˜s book, Read Write Own ? Any interest in a farcastHER virtual book club? Read a chapter, post questions/discuss in this channel. Don’t have to worry about spoilers bc we are all living the space and it’s a happy ending for all of us πŸ™Œ

Where we up to with this? I’ve only don’t chapter 1 but it’s great - super approachable. Q. In theory can one still get deplatformed from Warpcast & every other FC platform? But could build own…how do followers find? Want to be clear if explaining to others how FC decentralisation is better.

Will try to answer but hope others keep me honest. @cassie or anyone else? Farcaster hubs contain user info, social graph - who follows who, casts, reactions and replies. If every platform de platforms you, your followers would have to come find you on the new platform you build yourself

the hub can be the platform – nothing stops someone from fully integrating hubs into a client itself, the cost is that the client necessarily stores a lot of data

I think sally was looking for more clarity on the speech protections for end user. From end user perspective, if existing platforms kick me off, how do I still engage with my followers?

if existing platforms deplatform to great excess, it would incentivize the creation of an alternative that doesn't, or deepen the integration of clients with hubs so the hub is the platform at play
