Marc Andreessen and Joe Rogan talking about the impact of deep fakes in politics Rogan: what’s the solution? @pmarca : Blockchain. Everything from a politician will need to be cryptographically signed, and everything else needs to be written off. Rogan: How would you integrate that with social media pmarca: Blockchain.

You probably don't need a blockchain though. Cryptographic signatures on their own are enough, and much better than the current situation. Blockchains do add a very hard timestamp element, but I don't think that's strictly necessary

We've built this capability into Pinata. No one uses it lol "By making it simple to sign a file and have anyone in the world verify that signature, we take a big step forward in knowing who, what, where and why a file exists. In a world increasingly dominated by AI-generated content, this becomes invaluable." https://pinata.cloud/blog/introducing-the-content-attestation-plugin/
