Hey do we think these buttons should change places? 🤔 Because 1. “Cast now” is primary action 2. “Undo” is secondary 3. Hand position and where people (most likely) want to tap to cast is where “Undo” lives

From a pure design standpoint I agree! I don’t love anchoring to Twitter or any app as the reason for not changing it. It smells like “that’s the way it’s always been done” dysfunction. All that said, it feels like a small battle because after a few days of casting I’m already getting used to it

Muscle memory - and neuro plasticity! I'm so glad we've got such plastic "🧠's" I remember the endless battles over whether [OK] was on the ←left (Windows) or right→ (Mac). Frick'en endless And when both sides are right, that's when the "pure taste" of the good designer comes in. @dwr is Capital-D designer IMO

Oh this is such a great point actually! On the one hand, we have “people spend most of their times on sites that are yours; design for known patterns”. On the other, we have this point. I’m here for the latter on this one, but do understand the former. 🫡
