Something I learned a long time ago is that when you see someone on social media say “Who’s building this…” then explain some novel concept, they are not actually interested in using that thing. They are not validating the market for you. In fact they may not even care if the thing exists. It’s usually performative or at best used to inform some upcoming blog post or video. Ignore this type of bait. It’s not useful.

I’ve definitely been guilty of saying this- maybe performative (?) but more likely just a passing thought, like in a brainstorm sesh

Yeah that makes sense. I guess I meant this more for people who are building. They should largely ignore these types of posts because they are often seen as validation when they’re not
