What's something you wish Farcaster was doing better at? (Won't argue with you / may ask a clarifying question.)

Wish it were easier for [people like me] to build their first mini app. Have lots of ideas for apps. Pretty sure once I get my first one built, it will be easier to create more. Got tempted by "build an app in less than 60 seconds" but only got so far after about 90 minutes. My profile: not a professional developer, can find 2-3 hour chunks to work but can't dedicate full days to getting lost in weeds, will use AI copilot but not interested in lowcode/nocode app builders b/c I want access to source code and don't want to limit future capabilities. https://warpcast.com/adrienne/0xaa0c10b8

Do you have specific examples of what was confusing? cc @samuellhuber.eth @rish @hellno.eth who are all thinking about this from different angles

Nothing really confusing as much as it's cumbersome to get a local environment set up for fast feedback loops Farcaster dev tool simulates how the app works within a farcaster context. Not sure why but I couldn't get it to work, and as a novice it's hard to troubleshoot - is it an issue with the dev tool page, the tunnel, or my local env? How do you speed up the time it takes it build your first app, and learn how to use the FC SDK and integration with wallet. There are a lot of pieces to put together, when they're all unfamiliar the learning curve for building app feels quite steep

I'm building for this with @vibesengineering.eth - basically taking away as much of the headache when building mini apps for non devs. it's not as fast as a local setup where you can iterate in seconds. but it works in iteration of minutes and should get faster. and it has some other benefits like auto-finding docs and retry before you have to intervene. is also useful for devs as a starter, because you get an open source repo that you can fork and continue building on your own. some might not prefer the same stack, so other templates might be a better starting point. happy to talk more about this! (I honestly didn't bug you with this because I assumed you're a dev now and probably don't need this anymore šŸ˜…)

Kind of has been the same experience for me, with a smaller chunk of window and just a mobile phone to work with. It took a bit to find a decent workflow have had to use a cloud vm to locally host the frame then use my phone to write and push code to cloud vm re build mini app and push to domain. <- would also have been solved by not using a mobile phone/termux it code.
