Web3 development is definitely more global than I'd imagined it to be. Since we enabled crypto checkout, we've had a double digit impact on developers signing up using crypto vs. our usual Stripe checkout only. h/t to @loopcrypto and @elenithinks for enabling the integration. highly recommend

I cannot for the life of me find a retailer in Chicago that sells filters for the Kalita Wave! The only time I've gotten them locally is when the local coffee shop gifted me some that they could not use. HOW WILL I GET MY CAFFEINE!?

This looks great! I'll have to try a recipe like that. I heartily recommend Mapo tofu, as well! Made this last week. https://i.imgur.com/B9y2m9G.jpg

OH: I've never programmed in such a hostile environment and I used to write software for things that had to dodge actual missiles.

That being said, I have been lucky to have mostly good managers. Some of these folks have had kids and some have not. I'm also a manager and have no kids... but I would have to let someone who I work worth comment on if I'm good at it or not!

I am not sure there is a correlation. I think the things that make a good manager are empathy to understand how to create space for your reports to be happy and productive, the strength and skill to say no tactfully and good abilities to estimate the value of work as a strategy for prioritizing tasks

ChatGPT is the new junior dev on your team. It will write you some code (ask it to implement a swap on Uniswap v3) within your constraints to the best of its ability. You'll need to tweak it, verify it's correctness, maybe even throw it all away and start over, but it's a decent starting point.

DevCon VI helped me reconnect with what I love about Ethereum, web3 and the whole expanded ecosystem. I am lucky to have been given the chance to reorient myself!

Definitely support the idea of making it a social activity by finding a friend or joining a running club. Another option is to give yourself interesting and new scenery. Take a drive to an area you don't spend much time in and spend 20 minutes running around!
