I had a very interesting conversation with a crypto sceptic yesterday. We spent a long time on one point: 'Paypal is basically Ethereum, isn't it?' I was able to convince him with 'FinTech is a front end, blockchain is a backend'. Paypal's backend is the financial system and Ethereum *is* the network.

this is how i find it easiest to explain defi to people. "people will probably use Robinhood as the interface still, but the trades will be powered by defi"
