Yesterday I went to a concert of a small French band. The music is not mainstream and they told an interesting story. An experienced music expert told the band that they should change their musical direction more towards mainstream music.

When I thought of this band, I immediately thought of '1,000 True Fans' by Kevin Kelly.

Above all, they shouldn't sing in French, but in English, and they should definitely leave out the accordion. They didn't do any of that and are successful with it. They perform every year in different cities in France and Germany and have found their niche.
