First time dad-to-be and ETA is T-minus ~two weeks.

FC parents - what are you glad you knew / wish you knew a few weeks out?

Swap the light in the room where the kid will sleep for a smart light and set it to Red. When the kid cries in the middle of the night your eyes and their eyes will thank you. 
Bright white light will wake them up further. Red light doesn’t. 

Also, have a “tap out” word with your partner. If it gets said, the other person takes over no matter what.
