Currently encountering this pretty hard - we've got a two-year-old and three-month-old twins. Planning a vasectomy ASAP.

Does ePBS plus SNARKing The L1 allow the type of parallelization that Solana/Monad/etc do? That is, is the answer to those folks, "Yes, parallelizing is super-cool, but in the endgame, the builders can do their job in whatever fancy parallel way they want and the proposers won't care as long as the proof checks out"?

Have kids I don't want to uproot, have family and friends here. I don't love this city but it's home. Prospera is an unknown. (Still very cool, though!)

Really? My understanding is that normal modern schools are absolutely terrible for boys, less-bad for girls.

Is anyone out there working on something like X Community Notes for Farcaster? Or in general making public discourse saner and more civil, forming bridges between opposing sides? I’d love to join/start a project like that.

I feel like we’re in heated-agreement here - we don’t actually disagree! Yes, obviously kids need socialization and problem-solving and different points of view and so on. In my experience talking to homeschoolers (including my wife), they’re all very aware of that and explicitly making sure the kids get that.

Planning to, yes. (Kids are still too little.) Growing up, I always wished I had a more personalized school. And my wife (@claudiaspitz ) was homeschooled and wants to do it for our kids.

I’m terrified of AI because I don’t wanna die. (Of course it has the potential to solve everything and let us live forever. But only if it doesn’t kill us all.)

Right now, anyone who wants to leave Twitter is immediately met with many choices: Mastodon, Farcaster, Lens, etc. It'd be nice if all these Twitter alternatives (or at least the ones whose data is open) were sharing a single network effect. Yeah, I know: https://xkcd.com/927/

Or is there some way to have a bridge that mirrors content between the ecosystems, so that Lens content can be treated as Farcaster content or vice-versa? The motivation is: I don't want Farcaster competing against both Lens and Twitter, I want Farcaster and Lens joining forces to compete against Twitter.

To what extent could Farcaster and Lens (and others) be made to be interoperable? e.g. Is anyone out there building a web3-social UI and recommendation-algorithm that supports Farcaster + Lens + any-other-networks-with-open-data?

That is… for anything with a network effect, it’s annoying if there’s more than one of them that I like.

Does anyone have a summary of the differences in overall design between @farcaster and @lensprotocol ? (Are they aiming at more or less the same thing? Do they have different design philosophies? Are they complementary? Could they interoperate in the future?)
