I went down the wormhole to find an ultralite, 12 oz, tumbler, made from healthy materials after buying a wheat fiber cup sold at Whole Foods and Giant. It was strange the cup was made of wheat, yet couldn't be microwaved.

This made me look into the materials further...

Turns out many food products made of husks (bamboo, rice, wheat, etc.) cannot be microwaved because they contain melamine resin made of formaldehyde according to DW news.

After searching cups from around the world I found Ecoffee Cup sold in London! 🇬🇧⌐⬓

- Made from PLA (Starch, rice, etc.)

To make the cup more travel friendly and protect the mouthpiece when lying on the ground of a plane or train I added a cup cover which is a 2.5" silicone stretch fit cover for food by w&p.
