With the recent changes to @warpcast channels and discussion around moving towards decentralization and the @farcaster protocol layer, I asked a top builder at a @devcon side event how they'd structure channels. They said they'd connect channels to @ensdomains rather than attempting to reinvent namespaces and ownership. Makes sense to me.

I think adding ENS as an option is nice. But most good names are taken. Which would reduce new channel creation.

Curious how you see the future of ENS as part of FC now that it's building its own L2 Eth, Optimism, Namechain... are things getting too fragmented?

I think of these as different backend service tools. If you look at any TradTech social app there are API calls being made to many services for different features.

Yes, I can see that Farcaster would want to support many kinds of providers. Seems users having to bridge or buy currency on different chains will introduce friction though
