Any feedback if Ekkamai is a great neighborhood to spend a few months in Bangkok starting with a month-to-month apartment as a walkable area with cafes, restaurants, etc. that's easy to get downtown near the BTS/MRT? Based on the /brave Search AI results Ekkamai seems more affordable than Thong Lor and all of the neighborhoods on the Sukhumvit line west of here. I estimate everything east of Ekkamai is going to be more quiet in terms of places to walk to. Much appreciated! https://search.brave.com/search?q=May+you+explain+the+differences+between+the+neighborhoods+Asok%2C+Phrom+Phong%2C+Thong+Lor%2C+Ekkamai%2C+Phra+Khanong%2C+and+On+Nut&summary=1&summary_og=757acec6483a932801fddc

You would be close to bts, not mrt (subway). Yes Ekkamai is cheaper than more hyped Thong Lor. Next station east is cheaper but also lots of options with food, bars... I enjoy being close to parks myself and none of them really have one close by. Closest would be small one by Prom phong... (lived here +15 years)
