Slow is good I did my 2nd cacao ceremony tonight at @edgecity since the 1st one 5 years ago in Medellín, Colombia. Both were amazing. Because I was prepared for this one with something I needed to think through I feel that I took away even more than the 1st time. I'm well disciplined in every area of health I can think of except for sleep. - During my session I thought about how I can create positive feelings in the evening before bed - What I came up with is to think about how "slow is good". Slowing down and doing less leads to rest and sleep. - I realized before the session that I associate being tired with feeling bad and that I pump myself up in the evening to feel good about what I did that day or the upcoming day instead of allowing myself to feel tired - I didn't like "sleep is good" because that is too goal oriented. If I'm not sleeping right away than I could feel anxious.

I've had a recurring "Sleep" calendar event for many years as a reminder to go to bed around that time. I've also been ignoring that event for many years. I'm changing the recurring event to "Slow down" as a reminder to start relaxing. This is more actionable and less specific outcome focused so I won't feel as much anxiety if I'm not asleep by an exact time.

In the calendar event I added a note in the description > Does this have to be done by tomorrow morning? > • If not, prioritize for the next day/week.
