The thing that's important to understand is that we're only less capable of predicting the future. - We're actually getting worse at it - The world is getting more complex - There's too much information out there There's a lot of value in certainty in an uncertain world.

The more we know, the less we know. I’d make the argument that we’ve actually never been good at predicting the future because there are too many variables at play to give a clear outcome.

I think you're right. Maybe we had a few golden years of 'more data than ever but not too much', but overall you're right.
