In the past week and a half there's been so many speculations as to what happened with Haliey Welch aka Hawk Tuah and $HAWK. From the moment the token launched, multiple things just didn't seem to add up to me. Instead of being just another account on here speculating for engagement farming though, I decided to see if I could actually tell the story with CoinDesk. That evening I reached out to overHere, and put together a story as to what happened without speculating too much either. Let me know your thoughts! https://t.co/RbqHfeTycD

If you've been in this space long enough, all the signs were there that this thing was a giant grift. People fell for it because they either lacked the experience to see these signs, or blindly trusted a powerful voice without giving a thought to question what didn't make sense. It sadly won't be the last time.

Despite what people say it was not a rug pull, as experts who can read chain confirm. Most of the supply was unsold and intention of fraud seems not to be present. Here more: https://fixupx.com/jarxiao/status/1865111353318609150
