look, I just need 10,000 people to act in unison to make the math work. The reality is that will happen to only 1% of creators. So it’s back to the same problem.

To clarify, I’m all for the positive aspect of this. I know my response might come off otherwise, I just question the reality of it at scale. 
I guess a way to combat my skepticism is to see a lot of accounts with 5k or less followers see this work for them as you describe.

But you don’t need 10k people to act in unison — you need 100. Or 50. And it’s fully positive. People get to feel good about freely giving for something they valued and creator doesn’t have to worry about people losing money via gesture of support
