Its always a binary proposition with him. Zero or infinity. As if life contains no nuance and people can't hold more than one belief. What "gives the game away" is when someone bundles all their aggravations into the "woke" argument. Its become a nebulous term people use to generalize others they disagree with.

And here I was under the impression that only the woke left cancel people. Yet when others do it it’s justified because they use different labels.

Balaji's instinct to cancel is strong - which why so much of this feels like projection.

Words (category labels) in this realm have such limited shelf-life, eh?

For a hot minute "woke" was a great term.  Then it evaporates as the mid (...middle of the bell curve) coopts it into whatever grab bag of other grievances and half thoughtout ideas are swirling in the moment, and suddenly the word is ruined.
